Just quickly, here's a photo of my new hair (click for bigger pic). Not a great photos since the background is dark and you can't see the back of my head...but you get a general idea. Also, I should start using my brow pencil again, apparently :/

New hair as of 22/03/08
No more straight fringe for Cara!

In other news: People of Brisbane rejoice! I am going to organise the Brisbane Zombie Walk this year! No kidding! The guy who did it the last two years got over it all and when I offered to help organise this years one, he offered to hand it all over to me. Obviously this is going to be a big task and I'll probably regret the decision in a weeks time, but for now YAY! I'm hoping to have it late next month and have a bit of an after party since the whole "OK this is the end, nothing to see or do, so you might as well just wander home" was really not impressive. So before I get swamped with crazy nerds who insist on giving me their advice for every single aspect of the event, I'd love to hear your thoughts/advice/opinions!
rockfotze: (Fettes Brot - Manic faces)
My cough is slowly subsiding. I wonder if the whinge last night had something to do with it? Well I managed to sleep and I coughed a lot less today than the last week or so, so I think it's finally buggering off. GOOD RIDDANCE!

Now my weekend roundup:

Friday night I went to see Tiger Army with Nikerz at the Cooloongatta Hotel on the Gold Coast which took an hour and a half to get too. D'oh! We ended up missing The Wrath, one of my favourite locals bands, which was frustrating since I seem to always miss their shows these days. Zombie Ghost Train were great as always, possibly my most favourite Aussie band actually. Their banter always cracks me up. Tiger Army the came on, had a lot of issues with their gear and didn't seem too impressed. But they're an intense band to see, so I enjoyed it anyway (despite having about 50 coughing fits while in the front row, very embarrassing).

Saturday I had to drive ALL the way to mum's so Anthony to get his car, and then back again as I had a work thing on. It was a social thing, where we played golf and ate tasty food. Too bad the bar tab was all of about $10 so it was used up in no time, so most of us ended up at the bar drinking cheap Corona's. Saturday night was Tiger Army at The Zoo, much more convenient and many more people there too. I went with Daz and Michelle, but caught up with Nikerz, Kira, Alec and others when we got there. I missed Mourning Tide as they're a shit screamo band, but got there in time for ZGT. Tiger Army had no issues this time and it was even more intense, as there was a bigger, scarier circle pit and about 20x the amount of people. After that we went to Monster Joe's which was an AWESOME night. We spent most of the night in the Guilty Pleasures room which played cheesy old songs all night. I forgot how good Monster Joe's is, gotta go back more often!

Sunday we went to Big Gay Day at the Wickham Hotel. We didn't have to since it's a massive street party that our flat looks out over, but I was asked to take some photos so I got in for free. It was cool, and so fabulously gay and festive. As we were all kind of poor we would go between there and my place for drinks as I had a cask of wine. Mmm classy. I didn't take many photos because I got a bit of resistance, quite a few people didn't want their photos taken. It was kind of strange actually. Hard to explain but I found it weird. But aside from that it was a fun day!

Many photos from the massive weekend! )

GOOD NIGHT!

Argh I keep forgetting to post about Melbourne til it's kind of late, so I just think "Ah well tomorrow will do" so I'm doing it now NO MATTER WHAT!

What we did - in words )

And now in pictures! )

Aaaaand now time for bed. Because I now have a cold and can't stop coughing and it's PISSING ME OFF!
rockfotze: (Farin - teeth)
I had a really nice weekend, even though I didn't really do anything exciting. It was just nice. Went out friday night where I didn't get drunk or messy, just went out with good friends and had fun. On saturday I chilled out, went to see Sweeney Todd again, then went to mum's. Watched Blackadder goes forth and had yummy food for tea. Today I went to the Gold Coast with mum to wander around, have a look in a few shops and just spend some quality time with her. I was kind o naughty and spent money on this fantastic 40s style dress covered in skulls and roses (it was only $40 when it could have sold for $200 in a rockabilly store anywhere else). I love weekends like these :)

In unrelated news I am thinking it is time I start dating. I've never really done the whole dating thing, the few times I have had boyfriends it's been a case of meeting a guy and deciding to go out with him and then it becomes kind of (or really) serious. I do not want a boyfriend at this point but I think I am missing out on some fun by going on a few dates with interesting guys and seeing what's out there. I have no idea how to go about this as I am so anti-boyfriends right now and seem to be the sort of person who falls into serious relationships when I really don't want to. But I'm going to give it a go, and see what happens, ya know.

And just to round this off, a couple of photos from Friday night, plus a couple other random ones:

This glass of cheap (read: cask) wine is making me sleepy. The desire effect. Off to bed!

Well being oncall for work SUCKED BALLS! I can't even comprehend how the phone won't ring for hours but then BAM five calls all at once. And because it's emergency tech support the calls are hardly short or easy to fix (well some where, I guess) so while you're madly trying to ring manager's to ask what needs to be done, the phone rings off the hook. I nearly exploded Saturday night, though I was pretty pleased with how I got everything sorted. The worst thing is the tax man takes most of the extra money we get for oncall so what you're left with hardly makes up for a crap week followed by a shit house weekend. BALLS.

Oh well the money I did get from it paid for my trip to Melbourne (well, the flights at least) so I shouldn't whinge too much. Man, I am so looking forward to this trip!

So anyway I spent the weekend at mum's, watching DVDs and altering some of my dresses (all I'm gonna say is that pink dye makes a boring white dress totally hot). It was nice, as usual, and I got a bunch of stuff done with mum that normally I wouldn't be able to (it's really nice to wake up on a weekend and not be hungover or sore from the night before). Still haven't sorted out the issue with the lost car keys, luckily I had the work van to get me to and from mum's. Not having a car, despite how little I drive it now days, is a pain in the ass. But I have a bad feeling it'll cost me hundreds to get a locksmith out to cut a new key. Wah :(

In other news, I officially started the new diet on the weekend and I'm determined to do it the best I can. Not suffering so far, and if I keep it up without slipping up the first week then it'll be smooth sailing from there. I am more determined than ever to lose 10kg as I found out I weigh 2kg heavier than I thought I did, and losing 10kg will looking and feeling about 100 times better than I do now.

And now to a couple of random photos just for hell of it )

I should be doing exercising D:

rockfotze: (Rod - BAH!)
I had a pretty rad weekend. Friday night Anthony played at Planet nightclub (he runs a monthly club night there and it's been getting bigger and better each month). It was a really good night and I barely even drank anything, which was an amazing feat unto itself. It was meant to be a quiet night due to having to be up at a reasonable time the next day, but I managed to only get to bed at 4am, as usual.

Saturday I went with Daz and Ash to the Gold Coast. They had a unit for the weekend for Big Day Out and I decided to stay there Saturday night with them. The trip there was hilarious, what should have been an hour trip ended up being over two hours because Daz just kept going the wrong way and getting lost. At one point I fell asleep (I had a migraine coming on and no pain killers with me) and when I woke up Daz had gone way past the exit to Surfers Paradise and had I not woken up we may have found ourself in Byron Bay (which is 2 hours away, in case you didn't know). But we got there eventually, and hung out in the hotel for a while before going out for dinner.

After dinner Daz and I went to an alternative club called The Party as I'd always wanted to check it out. It's you standard sort of place with emo's and goths in top hats and over-priced drinks. But something exciting did happen. Two emo guys were "dancing" which involved them running at and leaping onto each other. Well the smaller one leapt on the bigger guy who, playfully, pushed him off and onto the ground. But it ended badly and the guy hit his head on the ground pretty hard. It looked like he got knocked out for a bit, and I was all "Well serves him right or being stupid" but then I saw his female friends crying and the security were starting to panic. So I went to investigate and this poor guy had split his head open and there was a lot of blood gushing out. I thought he was dying and stared at him til all the blood made me feel sick and I had to go outside to calm down. But not 10 minutes later the very same guy walks out with his friends (including a sheepish looking mate who knocked him down in the first place) and a security guard, laughing, blood all over his face. I guess he was drunk enough to be OK, so I didn't feel so bad then. It was gross but also pretty exciting.

Anyway the next day was Big Day Out )
rockfotze: (KILL BILL SOMEONE PLEASE)
I suck at dying my own hair. Proof:

I was looking through the photos on my phone (instead of trying to get the pink dye of my face, like a normal person) and found a few funny ones. They're not of me, just of funny crap I've seen minus a proper camera: Random phone pics )
rockfotze: (Fairly Oddparents)
Just quickly wanted to post about my New Years at Dreamworld and BBQ Breaks the next day (man that was tough two days).

Photos and words and crap )

So tomorrow it's Summafieldayze, yet another music festival, of the dance persuasion (hence staying in tonight). Though New Young Pony Club are playing and I love than band, so I'm not being a total festival slut, ok?! The next two months will be hard, since there are so many festivals. Big Day Out is on the 20th which is just enormous. Then Good Vibrations, Future Music and hopefully the V Festival. WHOA.

In other new something has been biting the crap outta me. I'm covered in bites which have become rashy. It's grossing me out but I've changed all the bedsheets, vacuumed the beds and sprayed surface spray all over the place so I hope it's over with. I do NOT need another bed bug type thing like I had in London. GROSS!

Also I'm getting chubby again after gorging over Christmas and pretty much the last two or so weeks. I haven't been to gym for as long and man it's showing already. Curse my shitty metabolism, curse it *fist shake*
rockfotze: (Default)
Damn, I still haven't been about to get my paid LJ back because my bank still sucks ass and I literally have no way of buying anything online until I get some damn money on my stupid debit card. I wish I could just take a day off to sort this sort of crap out, because working just outside of the city is a royal pain in the arse. Fuck you, Milton >:(

I had a good weekend, which can be summed up by somehow getting hideously drunk when I only had $20 with me (I either nicked drinks off the bar or have generous friends...actually I'm quite sure it was a combination of both). I was meant to either go see Regurgitator or Peter Combe on Sunday night but instead watched the first two Harry Potter movies with Anthony (actually I slept through most of them both). What an exciting life I lead!

On saturday mum took photos of my sister and I at Brisbane Powerhouse and so I figured I'd share them with you, mainly because I have declared one of them my New Favourite Me Picture EVER:

You won't be disappointed, unless you're some sort of jerk )

There were hundreds of other ones but I thought I'd just post my favourites. I can't wait to see what sort of scrapbook pages mum can make of these :D

Man I have good boobs.
rockfotze: (Default)
Thanks to Westpac being a bunch of lying jerks, I can't out money into my other account which is my debit account, so now my LJ has reverted to boring, free status. Assholes. Just wanted to rant about that for a moment.

Weekend was ok, nothing too exciting. Oh except for a pair of shoes I lay-byed and another pair I bought. Pair #1 are these black flats with a huge black-jewel-encrusted skull on the toes. Oh man, I almost wept with happiness when I saw them! I would have bought them there and then but couldn't justify $100 on shoes this pay, damnit. Pair #2 were from Sex Kitten which is normally very expensive BUT this was the last pair in the store, reduced from $149 to $29. They are pink, covered in pink jewels and pretty much the most comfortable shoes I've ever owned, short of slippers. No kidding. I wore then Saturday night and danced all night and my feet felt brilliant afterwards. That, my friends, is every girls dream! Whether they like to believe it or not!

A bunch of other stuff happened but as my back is aching like a motherfucker (damn you physio, I feel WORSE now) I need to go to bed. To make up for this shit, shoe-related entry, have a hilarious picture of me from Saturday night at Breaks & Enter, taken by Troy for inthemix.com.au:

I used to love fluro colours, back when they were hideously daggy and got my glares of horror from just about everyone who had an ounce of fashion sense. Those were the days. And now it's everywhere, like some sort of blinding wave of vomit. Cheap, Supre-bought vomit. No shit, even the guys were wearing shirts from Supre. BOYS!

Some notes

  • Geez guys, what's with all the kiss-related posts??? Seriously, everyone's been posting pictures of themselves kissing or at least writing about kisses! OK so there were only three entries that I actually saw but damn, normally there's none.

  • Fuck iTunes shop. I bought the New Young Pony Club album on a whim and now I can't get it onto my stupid Gigabeat because it uses Windows Media Player and won't import for some shitty-ass reason. What a waste of $16 >:(

  • I may be getting a really good tax return, or at least that's what I've been advised by my tax return dude. Sad things is, I'll have to use it all (well maybe not all) of it to pay some of my stupid $4100 credit card debt. FUCK! Credit cards can bite me.

  • I'm learning to sing "Mein Herr" from Cabaret at my singing lessons. I've gotten really bad at singing because I never have time to practice (I used to practice when driving all over the place and now I don't drive much at all which stuffs that up completely). But it's still great to be singing my favourite song from my favourite musical. It makes me want to get my Cabaret (tattoo) sleeve even more now!

  • Last Saturday I spent the day with mum, and bought myself a Drop Dead Fred t-shirt (it says "MORNING SNOTFACE" I kid you not) and the hottest, pink patent heels which I can actually walk in without falling over/dying from blisters! That night we went to Daz's housewarming that was themed "ROCKERS vs RAVERS" and was an excellent night. I hung out with Daz, Flip and Cass most of the night, as well as Anthony's old high school mates (and yet Anthony left at midnight, much to our horror) and didn't get home til 6am. It was so good. We even played Goon of Fortune! So good.

  • Anthony is either snoring really loudly right now, or singing. Hahaha, sounds the same!

While I'm here I might as well post the photos from Greazefest: Read more... )

Yay! I made it onto the Greazefest website!

rockfotze: (Bride of Frankenstein)
I took a bunch of photos for Anthony's group Boomstar Loco and was pretty impressed with the results. I like photography but I've never thought myself that great so I don't do it that often. Maybe I should do take it more seriously, because if a quick shoot around the Powerhouse on a Sunday afternoon can produce good results, maybe I have some potential...

You can be he judge )

I had a four hour job interview today for a company that would be excellent to work for. It would nurture my creative side and I'd get my foot in the door of an industry I'm desperate to get into. I won't post details as I don't want to jinx it, but I have never wanted a job so badly in my life. Keep your fingers crossed for me, folks!
rockfotze: (Farin - NERD ALERT!)
FIRST AND FOREMOST! I am thinking of commemorating the final Harry Potter book by getting a tattoo of the Golden Snitch, possibly on my shoulder. Not 100% confirmed yet, I admit. HOWEVER! I can't find a design I like, and as I know a number of excellent artists here, would someone be willing to whip something up? I will pay you, if you'd like. But I'd need something beyond a crappy cartoon or that stupid movie-Snitchin 2-3 days!!! PLEASE SOMEONE HELP ME OUT!!!!

Saturday, after randomly getting my pictures taken for a newspaper (more info on that later) I spent the day shopping with mum. I met up with [livejournal.com profile] _snitchbitch to see OotP again BUT I left my purse at home. And as no one else was able to come to the film, we called it quits. I spent SO much money but my god did I get the best deals ever on the sexiest goth-flapper shoes and various tops from Sex Kitten. Mum and I had a ball together, I so love our shopping adventures :D

I had three birthday parties Saturday night, Sabrina's at 6pm, Pete Smith's at 8pm and the Lorenzo's sometime afterwards. I hated the fact I needed to flit about, I felt totally rude, but I couldn't bare to disappoint anyone. I got WASTED at the Met for Pete's party as people were shouting drinks left, right and center. We then went to Lorenzo's party at the newly refurbished Embassy, though I'm having trouble recalling most of that part of the night. Orrrr anything after that. But even in my drunken state I managed to get Cas, Flip and Daz up to the VIP area. God knows how, but I managed to convince the girl on the door they deserved to be up there with me! Oh and some random dude wigged out when he saw me, it was as iff I was some sort of celebrity, the way he gushed. He someone knew me from Myspace though he hadn't added me. Weird.

Anyway have some photos of tomfoolery at Lorenzo's party )

Needless to say I spent Sunday in bed, wishing I was dead. The moral of the story? Gin is my kryptonyte and after learning this lesson the hard way one too many times, it's time for me to give up this delicious beverage once and for all :( But aside from that: BEST NIGHT EVER!

I have a job interview tomorrow. Wish me luck because I'll surely need it!
rockfotze: (Farin - Richy lives on)
I am so sore from gym last night. I did bellydancing as usual, then decided to try the dance class. Oh my god, it was full on. And now I am so sore I can hardly walk or lift my arms, no kidding. I couldn't even go to gym today because of the pain. Which makes me determined to keep up this eexercising because although the class was hard, I shouldn't be in this much pain D:

I've decided I'm not going to post the majority of my weekend roundups publicly any more. In fact, I'm just going to make them for my eyes only. Of course I'll update you guys if something wonderfully exciting happened, but for the most part I'm keeping them to myself. This ain't one of those "I'm not getting enough comments so now I'm in a huff" type thing. I only ever wrote them for me to look back on anyway, and as they're really not interesting to anyone but me anyway, I might keep 'em to myself. Savvy?

From now on, I'll keep to short(ish) summaries: This weekend was good, Breaks & Enter on friday which was huge despite it only being the ADICTS boys and not international acts. Pete (who I worked with in the call center, and was almost fired with me) came along which was excellent. I nearly lost my mobile but some sweet girl found it and gave it back to me (karma, baby), and I was so proud to see Anthony play back to back with Habebe upstairs at GPO randomly (he's a well-known Brisbane DJ). Saturday night was D'Lish which was a moderate success, but the fact I got to hang out with Nicole (as in one of my besties from high school) and [livejournal.com profile] siarastar made my night brilliantly. I also ran into Erin was was drunk and happy, though she told me she was supressing her feelings about the breakup with LOLs which was a little bit disturbing. Sunday I went home early and saw Pirates of the Craiibean 3 with mum which was great...though I was exceptionally tired and missed some keys points. Oh well, an excuse to see it again I guess!

Oh and I finally uploaded some pictures from last weekend's Breaks & Enter. Once again, we're all very drunk and silly but what's new? )

I want to get a new and much better video camera, but I fear I may not have the passion for making short films like I used to. This makes me rather sad :(((((
rockfotze: (Die Ärzte SLASH!?)
I need to do a weekend roundup, though I feel like I should comment upon the massacre in the USA. But in reality there's nothing much that I can say that probably hasn't already been said by hundreds and thousands of other people on LJ. I can't even comment on the gun culture in the USA and how out-of-hand it has become, to the point where these massacres are becoming common-place, because it's so obvious. If only something was done, but it's America and that's just how the nation works, as badly as it may be.

OK! Weekend roundup!

This weekend, including photos of ZOMBIE PIRATES! )

I started gym this week at Pure Health Club in the City. I got such a good vibe from them there, and there are some great sounding classes to do (plus it's woman-focused so few men go and it's not a meat-market at all, something I was worried about). Here's to getting in shape and losing the excess flab! WHOO!
rockfotze: (Bela - shocking green)
Today was awesome, I spent most of the day giggling or yelling "BRAINS!" Oh man, it was well worth the wait and I hope the one in June does end up happening. I've also decided to try and get involved in the next one, because as fun as it was there should have been something going on at the end, instead of nothing at all. Anthony and I reckon there should be a gig for everyone afterwards, or else some other fun stuff to keep people hanging around. I was kind of disappointed how we all get to the end and sort of wander off, unsure of what to do.

My mum did mine and Anthony's makeup, and considering how she's not done this sort of thing before it turned out so well. The fake blood and puss we made was superb (tasty too) and after some experimentation the makeup turns out nicely too. Our wounds looked pretty damn good, if you ask me, it was such a shame when I had to shower it all off. I spent the day mostly with Anthony and Matt, though I managed to see many familiar faces (even through the makeup)!

BRRRRRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAIIIIIINNNNNNNNNNNNSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!! )

And yes, Anthony and I bought beer along the way and I was pretty tipsy by the time the walk was over. But hey, it helped us to look more convincing ;) I wish we'd walked down the Queen Street Mall, but I guess people were being obnoxious enough by banging on shop windows and terrifying shop assistants (I may have been involved in that a couple of times). A highlight for me was when some Japanese tourists were taking pictures so I stumbled up to them yelling "BRAINS" and they actually recoiled in fear. Haha, aweosme.

I need to go to bed as I'm exhausted but I'm still totally on a high from the good times we had. I cannot wait til the next one, especially if it is going to be a lot bigger than this one!
rockfotze: (Amelie - scooter love)
Well, things are pretty much sorted in regards to my last entry. Thanks to you all who had words of wisdom. I have to admit a huge amount of detail was left out, it was just something I wrote out in the height of emotion. But thanks all the same :)

This weekend was good, though exhausting. I really enjoyed having Friday off to get myself feeling better and relax a little bit. I cleaned my car out, did some tidying around the house and various other things. Friday night was hectic, as they always seem to be. The ADICTS boys didn't do very much advertising at all this week, yet they had the same numbers turn up as last week. I didn't take as many photos this week, simply because I was tired and it's all getting a bit repetitive now. I'll cut down each week from now on, and just take minimal pictures. After all, they're well established in the Brisbane music scene now.

Saturday morning we got up early so I could get the camera back to mum, and because we were going to a party before we headed to the Future Music festival. My legs were absolutely killing me, so it wasn't pleasant at all. We got "prepared" for the big day there, then headed to Doomben racecourse in some taxis (ah, knowing famous Brisbane DJs is awesome, free rides all round). Doomben is a pretty crap venue for a festival, especially because they have strict noise restrictions there which meant the music was barely loud enough. Despite the tired legs and shitty location, it was still fun. The VIP section was a joke (long line ups for drinks and no toilets) but two of the stages were in air-con so it balanced itself out. We ended up leaving pretty early, to rest up before heading out later. I ended up passing out so Anthony went out alone while I slept peacefully.

12 hours later I got up, and headedd to Indro to meet mum. Not my best idea, as all the excessive partying left me in a bit of a bad way, I was shaking like a leaf and looked like trash. Oh well. I ended up buying a black, 30GB Gigabeat to replace my iPod mini (for a good price, too), some new Clinique makeup, and see Wild Hogs which was HILARIOUS, before heading home. And now I'm struggling to work out how this bloody Gigabeat dealie works >:(

Some pictures from Friday night and Future Music )

I don't want to go to work tomorrow. Or ever again :(
rockfotze: (Farin - NERD ALERT!)
Crap on a stick, I've been sitting on this computer or hours photoshopping and uploading the ADICTS photos. I'm going to have to demand compensation for this soon, if not in the form of money, then at least some sort of incentive. I can think of many better things to do with my time! The latest batch can be found HERE.

The rest of my weekend was better. Worked all day Saturday which was bludgy to the point I was bored shitless. Afterwards I met up with Alec, and went to a rockabilly gig at the Alley Bar at Milton Bowl. I love that venue, after all it's a dingy little venue attached to the side of a retro-looking bowling alley. It was a good show, Bad Moon Company were superb as per usual. I managed to chat to a number of people I'd seen on Myspace, all of whom were lovely. One girl Amie-Lee and I had a common enemy, which was pretty funny, and brought us together nicely. Afterwards Alec, myself and some of his mates went in to the Valley, I didn't stay with them for long as I went to find Ant and Daz at GPO. God knows why they were there exactly, but like I'd bother to complain (yeah, forever the pushover). There were three HOT tattooed, scene guys there who weren't enjoying themselves at all. I was smashed enough to waltz up to them and have a chat. I can't even fathom why they were there, they didn't really explain either (maybe I was too shit-faced) but it was good to have some eye candy there for once.

On Sunday we had the Harry Potter meetup which was really good. Lots of new faces as well as the ever-wonderful, familiar ones. Amazingly enough we actually talked about Harry Potter, something we haven't done in ages! I'm hoping this will mean the club will start growing again and we'll get back what we had when I first started it back in 2003. Though it also made me realise how out of the "loop" I am with the fandom. Not that I've ever followed (or liked) the fandom, but needless to say I'm glad I started re-reading the bookes again recently.

I've got lots of random thoughts going through my head right now. About work, about me, about the future, about friends, about family...and so on. But I might write an entry later, because the photos have finished uploading!

Just a few photos from Friday night )

GOODNIGHT ALL!
rockfotze: (Rod - precious little thing)
I don't know if it's a guage of how vboring I've become lately but I have the distinct feeling few read my LJ any more. I guess that's based solely on the amount of comments I get, and I'm well aware of how lame that is, but I'm almost tempted to just keep my entries private because they've really only ever been for me anyway. But maybe I'm just being one of those obsessed-with-LJ morons and should get over it.

OK, done.

Anyway, I managed to photoshop and upload all those pictures from Friday night but I'm way too lazy to post them now, so just have a look at them all HERE. After spending so many hours editing them I realise I spent most of the night chatting up cute guys and then taking photos of them. Haha, good thing the ADICTS aren't paying me for my work, otherwise it would have been the worst investment ever! I'll have to be good for their next event, as they have an international act playing with them and it'll be, you know, important and stuff.

Meanwhile I had another RDO today as my work keeps screwing up our work schedules. I spent it getting [livejournal.com profile] posqito a present for her baby shower on Saturday (OMG seeing such cute, rock'n'roll baby stuff almost makes me clucky), as well as trying to find a bloody fluro, reflective vest for a "Under Construction" 21st b'day party. Stupidest theme ever, because as easy as it might seem, dressing like a construction worker is near impossible, as reflective vests are basically impossible to find, likewise with kids yellow helmets and tool belts (looks like Bob the Builder ain't popular any more). It was highly infuriating and I've settled on a blue singlet, my blue "mechanic" shirt, dad's old tool belt and some jeans.

As well as that, I bought TWO pairs of Vans shoes today, the very ones I saw and fell in love with on my last days in London. So expensive but totally worth it! Then I went and saw "Ghost Rider" with mum, which was pretty rad. If I was going to be a "super hero" and couldn't be Wolverine, then a Ghost Rider would be the next best thing. There's something totally awesome about a flaming skeleton in leathers riding a Chopper. AW YEAH!

Righ, it's bed time now. And because it seems to be a reoccuring thing for me lately, have a photo of me posing/being a douche:
