So the rest of my weekend, which I was too lazy to post about the other evening.

On Friday arvo I met up with mum after going to the doctors and getting a needle for cervical cancer or some crap (lucky it was free, otherwise I would have been all "Screw you, hippies!" and died of cancer 28 years later). Might I add I got this needle a year ago, never got the follow up needles and had to start all over again. Oh Cara, you crazy dog. So mum and I went window shopping in the Myer Center (I managed to lay-by the most gorgeous dress ever made) before heading to the movies where we saw Tropic Thunder which we really enjoyed. I then went to mum's for the night as I hadn't stayed over in ages, which was made pretty exciting because she traded in the Maxima and got a cute new Toyota Corolla hatch. Naturally I demanded to drive and zipped around in it, and of course I now want a new car so much D: Damn my shitty old Laser!

Saturday we went into the Valley to have a look at valley Fiesta but since we ate at the new burger joint "Grill'd" we were too full to do anything beyond watch the Ten Fours. Once mum had gone home, the entire gang and then some came over as it was Daz's birthday the next day ad we all headed to Empire for a night on the town. It was a pretty messy night for all but me, I was ridiculously sober and at 3am I was bored and went home by myself and went straight to bed.

Which was a good thing as I had a HP meetup the next day, there were four off us but that included a new girl who was really cool, so it was pretty cool. I then rushed off to go to mum's to see dad for his birthday/Fathers Day (both occur in the same week, much to my annoyance). We are getting him a blue Indian Ringneck parrot, which is still too young so we have to wait another 4 weeks before we can actually physically give him to dad. But dad seemed pleased, and I can't wait to see the cute little thing in real life (it's being hand-reared too, which will be lovely). Now I want a parrot also. For $200 it's a really good deal, but I doubt I'd be a good enough parent so will just gooey-eye dad's when he gets it. That evening, as mum was feeling blue, I took her to see Hellboy 2 (which was alright, not nearly as great as the first film, a bit silly in places, I thought) to cheer her up. Then I went home and watched a dozen Simpsons episodes :D

Monday I slept in so, so late and accomplished fairly little. Had a meeting with the folks who do promo's at Empire to discuss the next Manila Sessions (we ended up doing quite well in their eyes so they're keen for us to make it a monthly thing). I managed to force myself to go to gym and then did very little else all night. Aw yeah, love those looooong weekends.

Today at work was hard. I slept badly, having bad dreams about Pepe (our dear poodle who died nearly two years ago) so this morning I felt like shit. Having three days off work meant everything blew up and I spent the whole day trying to fix the big stuff up. Ugh, what a miserable day :( I was so mentally and physically exhausted I couldn't go to gym, which sucks because I'm putting on a heap of weight as I have lost ALL motivation once again. What a waste of effort, I'm half way back to what I was a few months ago, before the big diet :(

In unrelated news I am finding myself getting quite addicted to the Twilight books which is incredibly lame. Harry Potter is one thing, this is a whole other ballgame (mostly because it's not nearly as well written or amazing as HP). All I'm going to say, since I refuse to get too obsessed with the series, is that Jacob Black sounds like the hottest guy ever. Tall, fun-loving, Native American??? Hello nurse!

And lastly, since my back is aching and I still need to tidy my filthy room, I am getting tattooed tomorrow! I am pretty fucking excited and will post a million photos tomorrow, naturally!

EDIT: Forgot to mention how I sliced my finger open badly tonight while chopping onions. This is a big deal since I'm usually only clumsy in the wacking-my-leg-on-the-edge-of-tables-and-getting-massive-bruises kind of way. It hurt but I think I must be a bit of a masochist because I kind of enjoyed the pain. Maybe because it was sharp and new, unlike the dull, achey pain my falling over and getting bruises everywhere pain I'm used to.
