Work, shopping and the weekend

My new job is pretty good so far. I feel so much more grown up and like I'm actually doing something kind of important now I'm not in a shitty call center. I'm already done with "training" and am actually doing proper work, which is cool. I was so bored watching people show me the systems I very nearly fell asleep about 10 times each day, and now my day goes super quick. The only negative thing so far is the act they have a much more strict dress code, which means I need new tattoo-covering tops and nice non-sneaker shoes D:
I went shopping today and crap I spent so much. At lunch I wandered into Dotti thinking "Man I'd love a bright pink woolen vest to wear over black shirts" and holy crap they had one. I've been thinking of looking for one for ages, and today was the first time I'd ever actually looked for one, and within 10 minutes of my search I had one! This afternoon I went to Indro to get makeup for the Brisbane Zombie Walk on Sunday (I HOPE ALL YOU BRISBANITES WILL BE THERE!!!), then I went looking for some work clothes. Bought a black cardigan and a black long sleeved business shirt for the pink vest. And then I discovered a sale on underwear and ended up spending more than $50 on bra's and underpants. Needless to say I sheepishly returned later on to return some of them.
Seeing Reel Big Fish tomorrow night, which is very exciting as I actually know who they are, as opposed to when I first saw them about 4 years ago. Gonna do some serious skaning! On Saturday I'm meant to go to a BBQ my old team is having which I seriously couldn't be arsed with. I love some of those guys, but for the most part I'm not missing most of them at all. I'm seeing the Potbellez Saturday night I think, despite not knowing them at all. Story of my (music) life. And as I said earlier I'm going to zombie it up on Sunday with a few thousand other people in the city. I actually chose the Walk over going to the V Festival, because I was so jealous about missing out last year. I haven't told Daz yet that I'm not going with him, god I hope he's not mad.
I need to go to bed ASAP. Time moves way to quickly these days, I can barely keep up with anything any more :S

Date: 30/3/07 23:59 (UTC)What is your new job doing? I freaking hate call centre work so I feel your pain there, working for Telstra customer service made me want to slit my wrists.

Date: 31/3/07 14:57 (UTC)I now work back-of-house which means minimal customer contact and fixing landline orders up on the systems. Dead easy, and NO SALES!!!

Date: 1/4/07 00:40 (UTC)haha it's always better when you can be rude on the phone! Hooray for that! haha. And yeah, it was Exceed, it was the biggest freaking waste of time ever. Just pointless useless crap. Argh, I'm getting angry just thinking about ye olde Telstra days.
