Sort of weekend round up
Tuesday, 16 January 2007 23:44Damn, after that last post things turned around 100% and I had a huge weekend that didn't really end until Monday night. On Saturday I got my hair cut, $100 later it's looking gorgeous but I now regret getting it done when I'm really fucking poor this fortnight. Oh well. It was odd, as I walked around Indooroopilly I was actually stopped a number of times by complete strangers telling me how beautiful I am. I really can't take compliments well, so I usually just said "thank you" and sort of gaped at them in shock before hurrying off. I don't know if it was the new hair or if people were sensing I was sad...it was odd. But definately a nice experience, despite feeling very awkward about it. _snitchbitch that evening for dinner, before we went and watched some Rockabilly bands playing at Troubadour in the Valley. I got to hang around with the Richie from bad Moon Company, who I've had a mad crush on for ages (despite him being completely and totally gay) which was pretty neat. It was a good night, and I'm glad I was able to expose Kim to one of my favourite genre's of music :)
I ended up leaving fairly early Saturday night as I had to get my arse back to the Valley the next morning to pick up Anthony and Pete for the ADICTS Sunday Sesh house party. It was to thank all their supporters and was a nice, chilled out sort of day. I've somehow become their "official photographer" which was what I did all day, in between drinking lots of highly-alcoholic punch and getting very stoned. I left at 7pm to meet up with everyone from Brisbane SG to see Amelie in New farm park and let's just say that drive was an adventure (an unfamiliar location, plus I was under the influence). Apart from being mauled by mozzies, it was good fun, especially since I haven't seen those guys for ages now. Afterwards I ended up staying at Ant's because it was so late and I was so exhausted. Sometimes I wish I'd taken him up on his offer to move in with him, as it's pretty bloody nice staying in the Valley, I have to admit.

On a very different topic, I have decided to lose weight for realz. None of this half-assed crap, I'm going to do it properly and get down to a size 12 and if I can, a size 10. I'm over being "curvy", I want to try being slim for once in my damn life. It's time for drastic measures, I'm willing to do whatever it takes.
EDIT: Before anyone comments saying "But you're not fat" or "You don't need to lose weight, you look great as you are" please be advised I never post photos of myself online that make me look heavy/fat/ugly so unless you've seen my chubby ass in real life, you've only ever seen me looking my best. I've always, ALWAYS wanted to be slim, and I've decided now might as well be the time to start working at it.
