rockfotze: (Dave Navarro - Bad Tattoo Love)
Wow, I haven't posted for a while. I started an entry about three times during the week but would either forget or get lazy. It was a fairly intersting week anyway, despite not working and mostly being a bum.

  • Wednesday night I went with Anthony, Iyan and Dave to Toowoomba. I've never been there before so I couldn't say no. There was a Beach party going on at the Uni Club which the boys wanted to check out as they are hoping to do events in Toowoomba eventually. It was a good night, for some reason they kept shouting me drinks so I was pretty drunk without spending much at all. I had to laugh at some of the guys there, their dancicng was horrific. It was like they'd been to a rave once and decided to exaggerate the dance moved by 1000 times. Hilarious! The highligh of the night would have been how Iyan got a court summons when he was caught peeing out in the bushes. In his defense there were not enough toilets and the lines were horrific, but we all laughed heartily at his expense anyway.

  • Thursday was spent sleeping in late as we didn't get back to Brisbane til 6am. At 2:30pm I found out there were open auditions going on for a new VJ (video jockey) for MTV Australia nuntil 4pm. I was scared as hell but actually tried out. I was obviously unsuccessful (unless I get a call on Monday, but they said we'd find out Friday) but it was interesting and all things considered, like my nervouseness, I think I did pretty well. Oh well, next time I'll be better prepared, at least.

  • Friday I stayed home most of the day, heading out that evening for Breaks & Enter. It was a HUGE night as there was a big UK superstar of breaks playing. There were so many people, I was so impressed, especially since the cover charge had gone up to $10 and no one ever likes paying entry to clubs on a friday night! Weirdly enough I would have had about 10 gin and tonics but simply did not get drunk, which was unsettling. But I danced all night long regardless, as the atmosphere was fantastic!

  • Saturday I had to come home to look after Belle as mum was away for the weekend. Anthony somehow managed to convince me to return about 5 hours earlier than I'd planned so I could go grocery shopping with him *grumbles* I had plans to see Bad Moon Company and Throttle Zombies play at the new aalternative club in the City (St Magdeline's) but they'd cancelled, so I went with Daz and Warwick to Monster Joes. Afterwards we stumbled to GPO where Daz couldn't get in with his sneakers, after a bit of an ordeal we eventually solved that dilemma and got in. It was packed out but few fluro kids were there which was nice, and they played some interesting, dark music all night. I was actually wearing a dress for once, and everyone totally wigged out! I rarely wear dresses as I don't have any girly shoes that don't kill me, but I got a pair during the week which are comfy, so I managed to shock everyone by actually ddressing girly!

  • Sunday, today, I came home earrly, and cleasned the house thoroughly before mum got home. Belle was sooking all day, I felt awful for leaving her home along so much this weekend, but she seemed to have managed ok. I'm now feeling queasy from the apple crumble we just ate for desert and I reckon it's time for bed!

OH CRAP I ALMOST FORGOT! I got a job on Friday afternoon, starting Monday! I didn't even need an interview, aas they're desperate and they would have obviously spoken to my team leader who I imagine would have told them I was great at my job, except for sales. This one is pretty much all back-of-house, limited customer service and NO SALES! I also think it even pays better, plus it's smack bang in the middle of the city (which is both awesome and kind of bad, spending-on-crap-wise)! YAY!
